Dr Simon Hristov

Family Chiropractor

Having grown up with a passion for sport, I played professional Rugby League for the Western Reds in Perth and represented NSW in the Universities Open Representative Team and internationally for Greece. This passion became the driving force behind my interest in the complex mechanics of the human body and injury management.

The highlight of my Chiropractic career happened in 2015, when I travelled to India with Hands on India a non-for profit volunteer Chiropractic organisation, that has set up Chiropractic clinics in the poorest parts of India. I had the privilege of adjusting over 300 people in just a few days. It was by far, the most life changing and humbling experience. I donated my time to work hand in hand with my peers to help the underprivileged by providing passionate Chiropractic care to those in need.

I believe in a ‘hands-on’ approach with an emphasis on the correction of spine and joints using a variety of safe and effective Chiropractic techniques. My goal is to provide you with the best possible care and additional lifestyle advice. I incorporate spinal rehabilitation including dry needling to assist with chiropractic adjustments.

Anna Giuli

Massage Therapist

Massage has been my passion since I was a teenager, together with exercise and general health and well- being. For this reason after 4 years of study I graduated in physical education and rehabilitation at the IUS University in Italy.

In 2004 I moved to Sydney and further developed my education by completing a Diploma in Remedial Massage from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. I am also a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

I am committed to providing my clients with professional and effective treatments, in a safe and nurturing environment. I attend regular training events and courses to keep abreast of new techniques and developments within the constantly changing and wonderful field of bodywork.

I’m a specialist in remedial and sport massage, focusing on injury rehabilitation and prevention working together as well with other health professionals to help achieve the desired result. Im also very passionate about prenatally, postnatal and pregnancy massage.

My massage is the combination of 15 years of study and work experience. I have listed below the types of massage thats Im qualified in. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your heath and well-being!

Deep tissue massage

Some people can get put off by the term Deep Tissue thinking that it simply means a “hard” massage, but this is not always the case. Deep tissue work done effectively and with intention can be a rewarding experience , the therapist works  with the muscle tissue sinking through the various layers at the body’s own pace allowing for a deeper release of constricted and tight muscles. Can be compared to Remedial Massage in many ways. Although the treatment itself can be relaxing you might be expected to interact during the treatment, changing body positions and moving joints and muscles in order to effect a release. This is an excellent treatment for releasing patterns of chronic tension throughout the body, which arise from poor posture and long periods in front of the computer.

Remedial massage

This is a specific treatment focusing on releasing areas of chronic pain and tension incorporating trigger point therapy and corrective exercise techniques. The therapist works deeply, freeing up any adhesions and deactivating trigger points (points of intense pain when stimulated) in the muscles and fascia. An extremely effective treatment for chronic conditions resulting from stress, overuse, injury or poor posture.

Remedial stone fusion

Not all hot stone massages were created equal……….
The perfect fusion of therapeutic Remedial and Deep Tissue techniques coupled with the deliciousness of hot stones. The heat from the stones penetrate those chronically tight areas, allowing your muscles to relax and the therapist to work that little bit deeper.

Swedish massageA gentle and flowing treatment aimed at improving circulation, and easing sore and tired muscles and bringing about a state of relaxation. The therapist maintains body contact at all times during this massage and the strokes are long, broad and repetitive allowing the body to gently let go and relax. Great for sluggish circulation, tiredness, sore stiff muscles and deep relaxation.

Aromatherapy massage

His technique was developed in France and is a gentle and specific treatment which works on stimulating the lymphatics allowing you to benefit from the inhalation and absorption of a blend of essential oils designed especially for you. The therapist uses gentle and repetitive movements along the various lymphatic pathways, assisting with lymph movement and bringing about a state of deep relaxation. A blend of oils will be chosen on the day with you in mind. Excellent for emotional and energetic healing, deep relaxation, poor immune function, anxiety or simply to recharge.

Hot stone Massage

This 90 minute treatment is all about indulgence and relaxation. Let the heat of the stones melt away any tension. Float on a cloud of calm, and delight your senses with a fragrant blend of essential oils selected for their soothing properties whilst you are gently massaged from head to toe with the penetrating heat of the oiled stones.

Pregnancy Massage

A massage specifically designed to ease the aches and pains of this special time. Your body goes through a lot of changes which can eventually lead to some discomfort. The treatment allows you to relax whilst working on those sore areas around your neck, hips and lower back, and gentle lymphatic drainage techniques assist with swollen legs, feet or ankles.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

A gentle yet extremely powerful modality , Dr Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapy in which the practitioner uses a range of specialised and gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of lymph flow.
This stimulates the lymphatic vessels which carry substances vital to the defence of the body and removes waste products, reducing swelling and boosting the metabolism and immune system. MLD has been proven to reduce the symptoms of lymphodema, sinus problems, acne, post surgical swelling, cellulite, general sluggishness and poor immune function.
